Cacao Nibs are simply the natural crumbles that break apart when whole cacao beans are shelled and lightly crushed; they are the purest form of cacao. This crunchy treat leaves you satisfied without any added sugar or fats; chocolate as nature intended!
Cacao contains one of the highest antioxidant contents of any food on the planet, in addition to the essential minerals magnesium and iron. It also has energizing properties which come from theobromine compounds, an alkaloid similar to caffeine that can increase alertness and energy. Cacao is associated with elevated mood and blissfulness because of its natural compounds like anandamide, (nicknamed ‘the bliss chemical’) which promote heightened sensitivity and feelings of euphoria.1
An ounce of raw Cacao has an Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) score of 17,3952. It also contains the essential amino acid tryptophan: a precursor for serotonin, and each serving contains 86 mg of magnesium.

Our Cacao is regeneratively grown at an elevation of 500-1,000 feet, where the air is fresh and the soil is rich. We are committed to cultivating heirloom varieties native to the region, known for superior flavor, aromatics, and contribution to local biodiversity.
We work with hundred of small family farmers and pay a premium for our cacao, above fair trade standards.
